The second time in my life I've seen one of these; this time I had a camera in my pocket. Both man-lifts, for lack of a better term, were in parking garages. The attendants ride them so they don't have to walk the stairs or ramp up. Smart, but dangerous. A fireman's pole in reverse except pole = vertical conveyor belt.
